Tzatziki (Greek yoghurt dip)
For 4 persons: (approximately 15 minutes)
- 500gr Greek yoghurt (10% fat)
- 1 big cucumber
- 2 or 3 pieces of garlic (depending on preference)
- Olive oil & Vinegar
- Salt & pepper
Preparation:
Wash the cucumber very well. Peel the cucumber but leave some of the skin on the vegetable to add a pop of color. Grate the cucumber and let it dry in a strainer with some salt. Cut the garlic in very small pieces and make it into a paste so that it will blend smoothly with the other ingredients. Strain the cucumber so that it has no more fluids and add it in the yoghurt with the garlic. Then add one table spoon of olive oil and one of vinegar. Add pepper and salt. You can adjust the amount of oil and vinegar to your own preferences.
